Introduction

We are looking for a mechanically skilled Site Technician to support the maintenance and servicing of power generation systems in Mt Isa. This role is well suited to trade qualified Diesel Mechanics or those with a strong mechanical background from heavy vehicles, mobile plant, or equipment servicing.

What are you going to do

Service, repair and inspect diesel and gas equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical troubleshooting
Perform routine maintenance and site-based inspections
Maintain accurate records of service work and equipment history
Comply with safety and environmental procedures while working on site
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure job completion

Essential skills and knowledge

Certificate III in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Experience with engines, mobile equipment or plant maintenance
Ability to work independently in field-based environments
Good communication and documentation skills
Strong awareness of safety standards and procedures
