We are recruiting a IT Plant Head to join one of our leading multinational clients and their expanding team. This position is based in Ahmedabad and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced proposal management professionals in the Renewable Energy sector.

What are you going to do

Position: IT Plant Head.

Contract: On Permanent Role.

The IT Plant Head is a critical leadership role accountable for managing and optimizing the entire IT ecosystem at the manufacturing/assembly plant . This includes end-to-end IT operations, Plant IT infrastructure setup, SAP ERP management, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration with SAP. This role demands hands-on expertise, strategic mindset, and team leadership capabilities, ensuring robust IT support to plant operations. The role also encompasses awareness and implementation of cybersecurity practices and an understanding of IoT technologies relevant to manufacturing.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Over 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing or assembly plants.
Experience in SAP ERP with a focus on manufacturing, supply chain, and finance modules.
Understanding of MES and experience in its integration with SAP ERP.
Strong understanding of manufacturing IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and user support.
Preferably experience in the solar manufacturing or assembly industry.
Proven leadership in managing teams and working independently at the plant level.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
