Position Summary Responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems supporting oil and gas production operations. Ensures compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, test, and repair electrical systems and instrumentation equipment * Troubleshoot control systems, automation, and large horsepower compression units
* Perform valve repair and diagnostics * Evaluate system performance and recommend corrective actions
* Generate and manage Management of Change documentation * Work under Permit to Work System requirements
* Ensure compliance with Operations Integrity Management System standards * Inspect new installations and verify alignment with engineering specifications
* Provide technical support to other technicians * Act as stand in for I and E Lead when required
Required Qualifications
* Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, or related field preferred * Experience maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems in oil and gas processing or production facilities
* Knowledge of oil and gas facility regulations * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Basic computer proficiency * Current manlift certification required
Preferred Experience
* Large horsepower compression automation * Valve repair and field diagnostics
* Experience with OIMS and structured maintenance programs

Experience
* 5 to 10 plus years of experience in oil and gas production or processing facilities * Hands on experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls
* Experience supporting compression equipment and automation systems * Background in valve repair and troubleshooting preferred
* Experience working under Permit to Work System
Technical Skills
* Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting * Instrument calibration and diagnostics
* Control systems and field automation * Large horsepower compression systems preferred
* Knowledge of OIMS and Management of Change process * Ability to read P and IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
* Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
