Introduction

We are seeking a ICSS Engineer to join an international leader in the energy sector, renowned for its global presence and expertise in Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) solutions. Based in Rotterdam on a 12-month contract (renewable), you will contribute to ambitious projects and strategic organisational goals.

What are you going to do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and engineering of reliable, cost-effective, and safe solutions that align with project requirements and the organisation's operational and strategic objectives.
  • You will be responsible for selecting appropriate methods and procedures, performing engineering tasks, and optimising designs within the scope of specifications. Compliance with international codes, company policies, industry standards, and regulations is essential.
  • You will plan and execute activities and deliverables within agreed timeframes, ensuring seamless system interfaces. Delivering your Scope of Work in accordance with both contractual obligations and internal requirements will be critical to your success.
  • Additionally, you will apply lessons learnt to improve processes and understand the impact of changes across project system boundaries.
  • Coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties in line with contractual and internal standards will form a key part of your role. This position offers valuable exposure to complex engineering projects within a globally recognised organisation specialising in cutting-edge offshore solutions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Engineer Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • 0 to 5 years' experience in any industry
  • Strong knowledge and competencies in:
  • ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems)
  • Instrumentation
  • Engineering design and calculation tools
  • Detailed design
  • Systems Engineering
  • Package engineering and manufacturing
  • Site engineering
  • Analytical skills
  • Planning and project coordination
  • Familiarity with international codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external stakeholders
  • Proactive attitude towards applying lessons learnt and managing change impacts
