Introduction

What are you going to do

As an I&E Engineer, you'll be a key technical presence in the field, overseeing the safe, compliant execution of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) installation, including medium/high voltage loop testing, by the EPC contractor.

Supervise E&I field activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
Perform field walks, JSA reviews, attend toolbox meetings, and enforce safety protocols.
Verify contractor qualifications, review procedures, monitor installation, and validate punch items.
Review and coordinate system turnover packages and drawings.
Respond to technical queries and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
Support Commissioning and Start-up efforts per turnover and testing plans.
Inspect and verify material storage, preservation, and installation compliance.
Provide regular progress reports and participate in construction meetings.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in major mechanical/E&I construction projects (LNG, Oil & Gas, or similar).
5+ years in E&I field engineering or construction; brownfield project experience preferred.
In-depth knowledge of E&I systems, materials, installation, inspection, and testing.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and other relevant codes and standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to manage complex issues independently, including on night shifts.
Experience in managing teams and influencing contractor performance.
Valid driver's license required; TWIC preferred.
