Introduction

What are you going to do 

As an I&E Engineer, you'll be a key technical presence in the field, overseeing the safe, compliant execution of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) installation, including medium/high voltage loop testing, by the EPC contractor.

  • Supervise E&I field activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
  • Perform field walks, JSA reviews, attend toolbox meetings, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Verify contractor qualifications, review procedures, monitor installation, and validate punch items.
  • Review and coordinate system turnover packages and drawings.
  • Respond to technical queries and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Commissioning and Start-up efforts per turnover and testing plans.
  • Inspect and verify material storage, preservation, and installation compliance.
  • Provide regular progress reports and participate in construction meetings.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in major mechanical/E&I construction projects (LNG, Oil & Gas, or similar).
  • 5+ years in E&I field engineering or construction; brownfield project experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of E&I systems, materials, installation, inspection, and testing.
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to manage complex issues independently, including on night shifts.
  • Experience in managing teams and influencing contractor performance.
  • Valid driver's license required; TWIC preferred.
