Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a leading mining organisation to source experienced HR Advisors to support a significant period of transformation and organisational change across their operations. With both Perth-based and FIFO opportunities available, this is an exciting chance to contribute to business-critical change programs within a high-performing and supportive HR team.

What are you going to do 

Whether you're looking to remain city-based or prefer a site-facing FIFO role, you'll play a pivotal role in driving key people strategies, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and embedding sustainable improvements across the HR function.

  • Partner with operational leaders to drive and embed large-scale change initiatives.
  • Manage, support, and develop a team of HR professionals across diverse portfolios.
  • Work closely with HR leadership and operational leaders to align both tactical and transformational goals.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to business leaders, enhancing their people leadership capability.
  • Influence stakeholders to support new HR operating models and frameworks.
  • Deliver internal HR projects, including continuous improvement and standardisation across regional operations.
  • Interpret and utilise data from HR systems (SAP, Workday) to inform decision-making and provide insights.
  • Ensure seamless operation of shared services, with a strong focus on payroll and core HR processes.
  • Flexibly manage a high-volume, high-impact workload within a complex matrix organisation.

Essential skills and knowledge 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a generalist HR role, with preference for exposure to site-based operations in the resources sector.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organisation, including coaching senior leaders.
  • Extensive experience in managing business-level change, including planning and executing complex change programs.
  • A strong understanding of the HR lifecycle, with operational knowledge of shared services, payroll, and systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Workday, or similar HRIS/reporting tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a dynamic environment.
