Provide clinical support within Company Healthcare Services by performing routine,
nursing tasks according to Company procedures and guidelines.
Regular direct or indirect contact with Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Laboratory staff and other allied health professionals to check on transport biological samples.
What are you going to do
Direct or indirect contact with patients and their families in the process of taking and recording vital signs, sharing information and answering questions.
Occasional contact with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to request patient notes and laboratory results,
Regular contact with clinical waste contractors for disposal of clinical waste.
Able to solve problems within own scope of practice, by recognizing and sharing information, but also able to ask for assistance to avoid any harm to self or others.
Correctly identifies and interprets job hazards and risks and ensures appropriate action is taken.
Focal point to daily check clinical areas, changing linen and ensuring there are adequate medical and stationary supplies.
Escort and chaperone patients during clinical consultations and around Company Healthcare Services centre's as requested.
Assists with the lifting of immobile patients, i.e., from bed to chair and in and out of the ambulance.
Assist within Primary Health Care clinics and with Chronic Disease Management, i.e. record height, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar peak/flow and urinalysis.
Responsible for ordering laundry supplies and consumables, filing receipts and preparing monthly laundry statistics.
Maintain medical supplies by ensuring that adequate stocks are available and maintain adequate functioning of medical equipment in nursing sections.
Responsible for unpacking medical supplies, equipment and gas cylinders and checking for any signs of damage.
Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying reports, documents and medical records as required.
Transport patient files around the clinic maintaining patient confidentiality.
Transport pathological samples around the clinic and between medical facilities as required.
Maintain accurate manual and computerized patient records.
Prepares clinical waste for safe storage and transportation in adhering to Company infection control policies in disposing of clinical waste, sharps, and body fluids safely and appropriately.
Uses own judgments in First Aid and emergency situations and understand when to call for help!
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Educated to intermediate level or completed 12 years of education (essential).
Successful completion of Health Care Assistant Portfolio/Training (essential).
Holds a Qatar MOPH Assistant Nurse license (essential)
BLS (Basic Life Support) (essential).
Working knowledge of IT systems such e-mail (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of acute care and/or Primary Health Care experience (essential).
All certifications to remain current and active while under Company employment.
Proficient in English, written and verbal
Sound communication and interpersonal skills (essential).
Maybe required to work in all Healthcare Services locations and to work shifts
Maybe required to drive staff, deliver documents and equipment
H2S essential if working in Industrial Cities or Offshore (essential).
Works within own scope of competence and professional codes of conduct, including always maintaining patient confidentiality (essential).
Demonstrates sensitivity in working in a multi-cultural environment.
Valid Qatari Drivers' License (preferred).
