Introduction

  • Projects Focal Point for the Lifting discipline, expected to guide and support projects teams with extensive knowledge on lifting operations, safety protocols and best practices.
  • Review and analyze critical lifting operations, facilitate the implementation of effective safeguards to support projects execution scopes.
  • Maintain a robust and effective assurance process for the Lifting discipline within the Projects, to ensure compliance and consistency with company standards.
  • Review, consolidate and update Lifting Standards and best practices.
  • Reduce Company Strategic Risk exposure by leading HiPo Lifting Incident Investigations, identify causal factors and root causes, recommend corrective actions and manage the mitigations implementation close out within the overall Projects.
  • Main focal point for the interface with the Operations Lifting Department (projects brownfield scope executions).
  • Multiple concurrent onshore/offshore projects at different stages of execution requiring adequate lifting operations controls are identified, updated and implemented consistently.
  • Establish effective communication and strategic connection among critical stakeholders to identify and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Interfaces with project teams and departments on resolving lifting discipline related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility and the ability to induce collaboration.
  • Facilitate synergies among project teams, optimize efficiency and consistently maintain compliance with company lifting procedures and standards.
  • Risk based evaluation of technical and lifting execution issues that may have significant safety and commercial impacts to overall projects execution.
  • Facilitate and support resolution-oriented communication among lifting operations stakeholders including contractors, third parties, and certification authorities.
  • Overcome internal barriers, clarify and simplify processes, focus on lifting safety operations consistently implemented among all projects.
  • Strong commitment to Safety Leadership supported by extensive knowledge of safety protocols and best practices associated to the Lifting Operations (Onshore & Offshore).

What are you going to do 

  • Focal Point on the Lifting discipline for the Projects, Projects main focal point for the Operations Department on all lifting related matters (lifting equipment, personnel and procedures) executed in brownfield.
  • Consolidate and manage a resilient assurance process for the Projects execution in compliance with the Lifting Code of Practice (onshore/offshore).
  • Maintain and update the Lifting Code of Practice for the Projects.
  • Interface with relevant internal/external stakeholders for optimization and harmonization of the lifting requirements.
  • Support PMTs in the lifting resources allocation, selection and recruitment process.
  • Formally endorse the recruitment of lifting resources within the Projects (onshore/offshore).
  • Support PMTs on Risk Screening and Formal Risk Assessment related to critical lifting operations (greenfield and brownfield scopes).
  • Introduce and manage effective communications protocols to share relevant lessons learned and best practices for consistent implementation among Projects Teams (lifting discipline).
  • Consolidate and Standardize onboarding protocols for Projects lifting resources with focus on compliance, consistency and efficiency.
  • Maintain a robust reporting system for lifting operations within the Projects.
  • Identify trends and vulnerabilities, propose and implement mitigations and improvements across the Projects organization.
  • Conducts risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues that may have significant impacts to overall project execution.
  • Manages the timely delivery of technical deliverables and issues resolutions.
  • Promote Lifting Safety Leadership, by supporting a Proactive Safety Culture and implementing industry leading Safety best practices and initiatives, including extensive use of Life Saving Rules.
  • Maintain a learning environment for turning lifting safety visions to improvements plans.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelors degree in engineering
  • OPITO - LOLER Competent Person
  • 10 years of experience in Lifting discipline and demonstrated experience in managing the lifting equipment & lifting operations compliance scopes (onshore, offshore).
  • Extensive experience in lifting equipment and appliances inspections, certifications and verifications.
  • Broaden knowledge of lifting operations management.
  • Knowledge of International Standards (API, ASME, BS, DNV, ISO, LOLER) and experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of LNG Operating Standards & Procedures is advantageous.
  • Experience in establishing and managing compliance and assurance processes in accordance with corporate requirements and international standards (lifting discipline).
  • Experience in Lifting SME, Technical Authority (Lifting Operations) within Oil & Gas Operators organizations is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Problem-Solving and follow-up skills
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, planning and interface skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
