On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Flow Assurance Engineer for a 18 month contract based in Paris
ACTIVITIES
Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to H3SE&Q, to implement and control H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility. Ensure all flowlines technical documentation and SURF Contractor activities comply with H3SE&Q requirements and highlight any potential deviations. Ensure safe working practices are implemented along all phases of project
Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to the Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy, promote and enforce the Anti-Corruption Program within the Project
Ensure adequate execution and supervision of Flow Assurance studies and provide timely and adequate Flow Assurance assistance to the Topsides, SUFR and SPS packages in cases of technical and / or design conflicts/problems to ensure equipment specification meets the project requirements. The field being a very deepwater oil field with a high GOR content it is expected that the Service Holder will be proactively suggesting ideas and taking decisions to solve the flow assurance challenges that are expected to happen throughout the different project phases.
Liaise with Reservoir, well performance, Field Operation, Process and Subsea teams to update them of the changes in Flow assurance requirements that may impact the project as well as to assist them in any studies or technical queries.
Perform Flow Assurance studies ensuring they are validated when required, providing timely information of any modifications which may arise during the project Flow Assurance review studies.
Participate in operations engineering of the project, including the definition of main principles, policy, and operating means.
Follow the day-to-day progress of engineering activities (FEED, CFT and detailed engineering) related to Flow assurance by the FEED contractor, then EPC contractors. Validate and guarantee the technical expertise of the Flow Assurance studies and the optimization of the Flow Assurance design. Provide technical assistance in decision-making due to any proposed Flow Assurance changes and recommend solutions to optimize the existing designs.
Be responsible for reviewing, fitness for purpose and compliance to Project and Company requirements of SURF / SPS Tenderers Technical offers. Lead the technical clarifications with Tenderers and ensure timely closing of technical qualifications/clarifications. Carry out Tenders technical evaluation and support for preparation of RTA technical part
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Qualification: BSc in Engineering or equivalent
* Languages: English (fluent verbal & written)
* Experience within projects: Strong experience in flow assurance engineering studied during FEED and detailed engineering
* Skills required: Familiar with the use of process simulation tools such as OLGA
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
* Accountable for ensuring adequate execution and supervision of all Flow assurance studies (Pre-Project, FEED and Detailed Engineering)
* Good knowledge of relevant codes (DNV), and preferably of TotalEnergies General Specifications, procedures and policies
* Previous experience with Major SURF Contractors and/or Operators during project execution for deepwater project
* Ability to run Olga simulations. Strong experience in Olga.
* Strong knowledge of HP HT projects, Joule-Thomson effect challenges, preservation and Cold re-start challenges.
* Positive, constructive, proactive and pragmatic mindset.
* Attending technical follow up meeting with FEED contractors and EPC contractors (package vendors as deemed necessary)
* Contribute to overall technical coordination for preparation and follow up of PRs and HAZOPs.
* Advising/Assisting commissioning team members during their performing of pre-commissioning and commissioning dossiers and during follow up of their activities at worksites and sites.
* Previous experience within complex multicultural working environment.
