What are you going to do

MAIN FUNCTIONS Review and provide feedback on discipline engineering work completed internally as well as by contractors and subcontractors to confirm alignment with Company specifications, internal standards, and applicable regulations. Supports the effective execution of engineering and design processes that are aligned with team objectives, targets, and procedures. Ensures clear, accurate, and timely communication across the team and with other company functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical expertise, the role requires strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal capabilities.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to Level I responsibilities, Level II includes:

  • Act as the Area Engineer supporting operations for a designated plant section.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Engineers, Site Contacts, and Lead Engineers to support the assigned operations area while building exposure to other plant areas.
  • Perform monthly Facilities Surveillance based on KPI-driven metrics for the area.
  • Provide operational engineering support for modifications, repairs, and alterations to plant pressure systems (including piping, static and rotating equipment, tanks, etc.).
  • Deliver engineering support during plant shutdowns.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to Level I and II responsibilities, Level III includes:

  • Participate in risk assessments, including HAZOPs, hazard identification activities, and Critical Operating Parameter reviews.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, including downtime events and process safety issues.
  • Contribute to opportunity management by identifying improvement opportunities and developing project scopes.
  • Conduct risk evaluations for new projects, existing facilities, and track closure of mitigation actions.
  • Lead plant performance testing and operational trials.
  • Develop and maintain operating guidelines for facilities.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers and peers.

Essential skills and knowledge 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage heavy workloads, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), particularly for technical and business communication.

Additional Requirements / Preferences

  • Experience managing and implementing capital budgets for water infrastructure projects.
  • Designing and commissioning water structures / Water Treatment Plants / Ponds / SWDs /Pipelines (water and gas).
  • Background in project execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in water treatment or facilities is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and pump design.
  • Experience supporting PSSR and commissioning activities, including fieldwork.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with solid technical expertise in water-related applications (e.g., pumps and pipelines).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
