This 12-month contract role, with the potential for extension, involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain secure and efficient digital workplace systems.
As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimising, and securing enterprise EUC systems to support business operations. Reporting to the Network Operations Lead, you will be responsible for managing endpoint devices, virtual desktop environments, mobile device management, and software distribution.
Your duties will include providing expert quality assurance and guidance on EUC service delivery, collaborating with security and engineering teams to identify and resolve system vulnerabilities, and leading troubleshooting efforts during critical incidents. You will also be responsible for evaluating and implementing new EUC solutions, managing risk, and ensuring that all systems align with organisational standards and security protocols.
Staying informed on emerging digital workplace technologies and driving continuous improvement initiatives are key components of this role. You will also coordinate resources within the EUC service line, ensuring that business priorities are met while maintaining optimal system performance.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in infrastructure roles, with a strong focus on enterprise end-user computing systems. At least 10+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with 5+ years in enterprise SOE support, is essential.
Technical expertise in AWS, Nexthink, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and network management is required, along with a solid understanding of networking, storage, and OSI models. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to manage complex technical issues, and excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
A relevant IT undergraduate degree or diploma is required, along with certifications in ITIL or Microsoft technologies. Experience in risk management, commercial project scope development, and cross-functional collaboration is also highly desirable.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing team tasked with managing and optimising enterprise EUC systems for a leading energy company. This is a 12-month contract role, with a competitive daily rate and the potential for extension based on project needs.
You will have the opportunity to work on strategic digital workplace projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of end-user computing environments. Flexible working arrangements are available, with standard hours based in Perth.
