We are looking for a Cost Controls Engineer to work with one of our major Oil and Gas clients in a contract position located in Houston, TX
* During project development, CSC Engineers will provide cost, schedule estimate input into POS, Right Scope, Gate / funding reviews, execution planning strategies and overall project implementation. During FEED/DE and project execution, CSC Engineers will steward appropriated cost and schedule through execution and startup including Owner's Cost for assigned projects.* Manages the project cost dashboard during Stage 3 / 4 and supports cost reconciliation, forecasting and troubleshooting as required during project execution
* Coordinate/facilitate Stage 3 scope / cost tracking, cost reconciliation, and timely development of estimate recast to control budget for assigned projects* Provide monthly status / progress reports and/or forecast updates in coordination with the project teams for assigned projects (including commitments, accruals, appropriation forecast, PlanView updates, corporate planning input, etc.)
* Track and assess key performance measurements (e.g. cost & schedule tracking, progress measurement, productivity, wage rates, etc.)* Track progress on aggressive targets, capital efficiencies, analyze O&V areas; recommend corrective actions to project team
* Implement and manage cost and schedule impacts related to PCRs and change orders* Provide schedule and cost inputs into contract strategy development, contract administration and implementation as needed
* Support compliance with business controls and admin. policies including support for* Project Closeout process and Final Report dev. (as applicable)
* Applies Cost and Schedule Engineering EMCAPS work processes and tools, and accountable for deliverable quality* Provide and support function with market analysis data, innovative data management solutions, project reappraisals, and final project benchmarking data
* Cost experience* Managing monthly actuals and accruals
* Forecasting experience* Change management
