Introduction

Brunel are looking for a Senior Contract Engineer to start with immediate affect for a global operator in the oil and gas industry. As a Senior Contracts Engineer you will be responsible for all contracting activities for a project worth $18 billion with long term prospects.

What are you going to do

Role Responsibilities

Lead the management of EPC/EPCC construction contracts with a focus on offshore/subsea packages.
Ensure legal compliance by applying strong knowledge of construction law.
Administer, negotiate, and monitor contracts effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and control resources while offering pragmatic problem-solving solutions.
Taking charge of the management of complex EPC/EPCC construction contracts, specifically focusing on offshore and subsea packages. This will include ensuring all contractual obligations are met and risks are minimized.
Applying your in-depth knowledge of construction law to ensure every aspect of the project adheres to legal standards and best practices, safeguarding the integrity of the project.
Effectively administering, negotiating, and monitoring contracts throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. This includes pre-award preparations, ongoing contract management during execution, and closure through the final account.

Essential skills and knowledge

Requirements:

Diploma: Master Construction Law, Business, Qualification in Engineering / Construction Science would be a plus
10 years' experience in preparation, negotiation, monitoring of EPC/EPCI construction technical contracts in offshore/marine Oil & Gas Projects.
Experience with SURF/EPCI packages is a must
International experience required
Knowledge and understanding of contract processes in projects.
Good general knowledge of project control, commercial, legal and insurance matters, and "in depth" understanding where relevant to construction and supply contracts.
Understanding of different means of contractor remuneration and their commercial implications, practical experience of their use.
