Construction Lead

Prior to site mobilisation (Perth based):

• Familiarisation with the J-IC Project in general, the BWI execution scope, engineering design and procurement status, and execution schedule basis, activities, logic and interfaces.
• Input to Safety in Design, constructability, and opportunities to improve construction execution safety and productivity through design phase.
• Review the project Construction Execution Plan.
• Facilitate implementation contractor pre-mobilisation execution readiness reviews.
• Attend site visits and site inspections on BWI and at fabricator and vendor premises, if opportunity available

Onsite (after mobilisation to Barrow Island):

• Responsible for overall delivery performance of the J-IC Project BWI facilities in accordance with the projectschedule and budget.
• Provide onsite visible safety leadership to the project owners team, the implementation contractors, vendor representatives and other specialists, and through interface to the base business and operating assets.
• Lead the project owner’s team construction and pre-commissioning organisation, including theimplementation contractors, to complete site set-up and temporary facilities, construction execution and completion, and pre-commissioning, achieving Ready for Commissioning (RFC) milestones and handover to the Project Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) team.
• Develop the project owner’s team construction and pre-commissioning organisation cohesion and capability, as an integrated team and Engineering Construction Management contractor personnel.
• Provide progress measurement and reporting to BWI Delivery team, and the wider J-IC Project.
• Provide execution performance and productivity management of the implementation contractors, including use of KPIs such as productivity factor (PF) and schedule performance index (SPI), constraint measurement and analysis, commodity-based measurement, and other similar methods.
• Lead regular execution phase interface meetings such as daily pre-starts, and daily and weekly progress meetings with each implementation contractor, as well as support weekly and monthly project management meetings with each implementation contractor.
• Support interface management with execution contractors, asset operations and maintenance teams, and other capital projects on Barrow Island.
• Lead execution with a system completion mindset, through effective construction completion, walkdown & punch-listing, pre-commissioning, and handover to commissioning.
• In association with the Perth-based BWI Delivery team, expedites all necessary design and/or engineering solutions and responses, procurement, quality performance, systems completion, and the like to facilitate the effective transition and compliance of the works to the commissioning phase.
