Introduction

  • Responsible for managing the construction activities of Offshore Pipelines including onshore construction activities and assisting in subsea structures & cables. Ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule and to the highest quality standards applicable.
  • Manage all construction site activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
  • Supervise the Pipelines & Cables Offshore construction activities as per the project milestones.
  • Interface with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.

What are you going to do 

  • Focal point at site, for promoting and implementing safety on construction site. Implement safety observations reporting and monitoring.
  • Lead the pipelines installation team and keep the team committed to targets defined by the project management.
  • Manage daily offshore installation operations related to pipelines & cables, conduct site trips regularly, fill in as a Company Site Representatives, direct and supervise Company Site Representatives.
  • Assist Head of Offshore construction in executing Project responsibilities for the pipelines & cables-related scope of work.
  • Anticipate, prepare and supervise all installation, liftings and related activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope and schedule.
  • Ensure coordination for pipelines & cables site activities and provide technical support with contractor, quality, safety, planning and engineering.
  • Review EPCI Contractor documentation related to pipelines construction and installation, and participate in Constructability reviews, HAZID/HAZOP and similar workshops during EPCI phase.
  • Ensure submittals of documents from EPCI Contractor for pipelines & cables including trenching, dredging, shore pull, pipelay and diving are timely reviewed and approved in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Review and propose mitigation for installation aspects of the Risk Management Plan and monitor the implementation when agreed.
  • Review all changes to the Scope or Work, including justification for schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 8 years of experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
  • Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
  • Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope.
  • Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
  • Experience with contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds
  • Worldwide experience with contractors particularly those involved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
