What are you going to do

  • Lead and manage Compression EPC Contractor for safe and successful execution of CP Topsides mechanical works scopes to meet overall project objectives by insuring HSE, Quality, planning, effective and efficient delivery of Compression Project.
  • In addition ensure the constructability of the design is consistent with established Project Engineering Darawings and industry processes and standards, effectively manage issues and resolution through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams delivering full alignment of the Fabrication execution.
    • Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication
    • Manages and ensures successful execution of CP Topsides mechanical equipment's. Monitor fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate). Has a strong background in large rotating gas compressor (turbine driven) packages & large gas turbine generator units, also to have knowledge of HVAC systems which are part of offshore Electrical & instrument LER rooms.
    • To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the mechanical item's fabrication, Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
    • To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.
    • To review documentation to company construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built …) for the construction
    • Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
    • Review Contractor's progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical
    • problems, drifts and dysfunctions if
    • To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all structure subject, MC,Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.
    • To Participate to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering
  • 8 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.
  • Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management and techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
  • Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
  • Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project
  • Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope.
  • Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
