Support EPC PMT by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main sub-contractor. Attend workshops/review meetings when requested.
Analyse technical proposals and proposed deviations, assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with COMPANY policies and procedures.
Apply lessons learned from previous projects and share new ones with other EPCs.
Support the qualification of new suppliers proposed for the project, suppliers that are not on the approved vendor's list.
Assesses Contractor's manpower loading, providing timely recommendations to project team and be available to backfill needs as required.
Support the project team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones (long lead item (LLI) procurement, engineered equipment procurement; required on site (ROS) dates, etc); develops and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
Witnesses Contractors scope of work and sign off test and check sheets as per project requirements.
Verify that the EPC Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
Cooperate with review teams and take part in quality audit activities throughout the project. Report findings accurately and provide a plan to address issues when required.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Knowledge and experience in discipline Hook-Up and Commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
Experience in an Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) role for large EPC contracts, with strong Integrated Control and Safety Systems commissioning/technical skills.
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion.
Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance.
Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
