Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee road and site maintenance across key operational areas. Working on a 14/14 roster, you'll lead contractors, drive safe and efficient field execution, and ensure civil works are delivered to high standards. This role suits a hands‑on leader with strong technical capability and a commitment to safety and performance.

What are you going to do

The Civil Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing civil maintenance and construction activities across access roads, well pads, drainage systems, and associated site infrastructure. Working closely with contractors and field teams, the role ensures all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client standards, regulatory requirements, and operational schedules. This position requires strong field leadership, technical capability, and the ability to maintain clear communication across multiple stakeholders while supporting day‑to‑day execution in remote operating environments.

  • Supervise civil works including road maintenance, earthworks, drainage, and site preparation.

  • Lead contractors in safe work execution and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.

  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and support incident reporting and investigations.

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily civil activities to meet operational timelines.

  • Verify contractor resources, equipment utilisation, and performance standards.

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues impacting field execution.

  • Maintain accurate daily reporting and documentation of works completed.

  • Liaise with land access teams to confirm permissions prior to site entry.

  • Ensure construction schedules, updates, and changes are communicated effectively.

  • Identify risks, escalate issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in emergency response activities as required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 5+ years' experience in Construction Supervision.

  • Proven background in civil maintenance on large‑scale gas or energy projects.

  • Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.

  • Solid understanding of maintenance and construction standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong project management capability with the ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple activities.

  • Confident decision‑maker with a continual focus on safe outcomes.

  • Computer literate with sound reporting and documentation skills.

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
