We are seeking an experienced CCTV Systems Engineer to design, implement and support video surveillance solutions across large-scale mining environments. This role focuses on end-to-end CCTV system delivery, including camera networks, VMS platforms, analytics configuration and compliance with site standards.
The CCTV Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, configuration and optimisation of video surveillance systems. The role involves hands-on engineering, system integration and technical support across CCTV infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement CCTV solutions including fixed, PTZ and thermal camera networks, NVR/VMS platforms and storage systems.
Specify and validate camera placement, coverage, lens selection, environmental ratings and lighting requirements to achieve operational and security objectives.
Ensure CCTV designs and installations comply with site and organisational standards
Configure and optimise video analytics, including motion detection, object detection and line-crossing rules.
Define and manage recording policies, retention schedules, system permissions and user profiles within VMS platforms.
Support commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of CCTV systems to ensure reliability and performance.
Maintain system documentation, drawings and configuration records.
Work closely with IT, security and operational stakeholders to align system design with business requirements.
Provide technical input into system upgrades, expansions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience designing and delivering CCTV systems
Strong hands-on experience with VMS/NVR platforms and video storage solutions.
Demonstrated capability configuring advanced video analytics and recording policies.
Experience with Avigilon, Genetec and/or Pelco CCTV platforms is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of system design considerations including coverage modelling
Highly Regarded:
Experience with Gallagher or Cardex access control systems.
Familiarity with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and integration with security platforms.
