Introduction

  • Support the Head of Category in executing category strategies, lead complex sourcing projects, and manage supplier relationships for assigned categories.

What are you going to do

  • Awareness of COMPANY Integrated Management Systems (Quality; Environment; Occupational Health & Safety; Responsible Care; & Energy Management Systems; and IFA Product Stewardship)
  • Comply with all the relevant policies and procedures of COMPANY Integrated Management Systems.
  • Conduct daily procurement operations: prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, issue POs, and follow up with suppliers.
  • Support implementation of category strategies and sourcing projects.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery, and quality issues.
  • Assist in contract administration, renewals, and compliance monitoring.
  • Collect and analyze data on category spend, supplier performance, and compliance.
  • Prepare regular reports for the category team and management.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure procurement needs are met.
  • Support Senior Category Specialist and Head of Category in sourcing and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support adoption of new technologies.
  • Utilize digital tools and support implementation of new technologies, including AI, to improve procurement efficiency.
  • Ensure procurement activities contribute to company objectives and value creation.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Promote use of AI, automation, and digital tools to optimize category management.
  • Implement new technologies to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Train and mentor fresh graduates.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) will be added as an advantage.
  • 3-5 years direct and relevant experience.
