Brunel International is a global recruitment company that provides specialized workforce solutions to various industries around the world. We are currently seeking a Belt Splicer Supervisor for a well-established goldmine located up in Papua New Guinea on a FIFO opportunity.

What are you going to do

As the Belt Splicer Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the belt splicing team and ensuring that all belts are spliced according to the company's standards and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for managing the inventory of splicing materials, maintaining equipment, and completing required reports.

Essential skills and knowledge 

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in belt splicing
  • High risk work tickets - WAH, Confined Space, Overhead crane, Rigging is desirable
  • Experience in supervising a team
  • Knowledge of conveyor belt systems and splicing materials
  • Ability to work in a remote location
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening
