Introduction

We are seeking experienced All Round Operators to join a remote open cut mining operation at Tropicana, Western Australia, on a temp-to-perm basis.

What are you going to do

We are looking for experienced All Round Operators to join the mining operations team at Tropicana.

The successful candidates will have the ability to operate a range of mobile mining equipment safely and efficiently and contribute to the overall production requirements of the site.

The project predominantly operates a 7 days / 7 nights / 7 days off roster, with 12-hour rostered shifts. Most positions work approximately 12.5 hours per day, including regular overtime.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate relevant mobile mining equipment.
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and identify and report equipment defects.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with site procedures and operational requirements.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and production.
  • Complete tasks to the required operational and environmental standards.
  • Work effectively with supervisors and other members of the mining team.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and comply with site requirements.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous experience operating mobile mining equipment in an open cut mining environment.
  • Experience across multiple types of mobile plant is highly regarded.
  • Current C Class Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Ability to successfully complete required medical, drug and alcohol screening and site onboarding.
  • National Police Clearance within the required timeframe.
  • Previous experience in a production mining environment.
  • Must have strong track Dozer production experience CAT D11/D10.
  • Prior blue rock experience is looked upon favourably.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience operating mobile mining equipment in an open cut mining environment and be confident working across multiple types of equipment. You will be safety-focused, reliable and committed to achieving production targets while maintaining high operational standards.
