Introduction

We have a client seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Inspector to join their team in Corpus Christi, TX, for a 1-year renewable assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA/QC inspection and surveillance with a focus on mechanical piping, pressure vessels, and pumps. This role involves ensuring quality and compliance for new construction and ongoing projects.

Work Type: W2 contract
Duration: 1 year with potential for renewal
Pay Rate: Hourly with 1.5x OT
Per Diem: Per diem is offered for candidates who meet the distance requirements, but local talent will be prioritized first.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct surveillance and inspections of mechanical piping systems, pressure vessels, and pumps to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Oversee quality control for new construction projects and verify installation integrity.
Collaborate with contractors and project teams to address any quality-related issues.
Monitor and document inspection activities, ensuring all work aligns with applicable codes and standards.

Essential skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical piping inspection.
Familiarity with QA/QC surveillance processes and procedures.
Strong knowledge of pressure vessels, pumps, and piping systems.
Experience with new construction and project-based work is required.
LNG project experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with both owner and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects is highly desirable.
