Our client is a family-owned poultry producer that has been operating in Queensland for nearly nine decades. With their hatchery only being 7 years old, it features advanced incubation technology, robotic automation, and a wide range of specialised systems that enable them to hatch and deliver more than one million healthy chicks each week.

What are you going to do 

About the role:

This permanent, full-time position involves working alongside our maintenance electricians to carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance across the entire facility. The role requires early starts at 5am and a five-day work week, scheduled across seven days, with a minimum of 38 hours per week.

All staff must follow strict biosecurity measures. This means employees cannot keep birds, poultry, or pigs at home, and you'll be required to shower in and out of the facility each day. All tools, equipment, and uniforms are supplied.

Essential skills and knowledge 

About you:

  • Hold a QLD Electrical A-Grade Licence and have solid experience as an Industrial Electrician

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

  • Bring experience with industrial systems such as water pumps, reverse osmosis units, HVAC, boilers, chillers, generators, automation/robotics, and conveyors

  • Meet all biosecurity requirements

  • Mechanical fitting experience is beneficial

  • PLC knowledge is an advantage

  • A forklift ticket is an advantage

  • Have reliable transport and a valid driver's licence
