We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team for Shutdown assignment in well-established Papua New Guinea (PNG) Goldmine. What are you going to do 

As a Shutdown Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical and instrumentation systems during shutdown periods. Your role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, complying with all relevant safety standards and procedures, and working collaboratively with a team of professionals to achieve project goals.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in industrial settings
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience with shutdown maintenance activities is highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to work on a FIFO basis in PNG
