Introduction

We are looking for a mechanically skilled Site Technician to support the maintenance and servicing of power generation systems in Mt Isa. This role is well suited to trade qualified Diesel Mechanics or those with a strong mechanical background from heavy vehicles, mobile plant, or equipment servicing.

What are you going to do 

  • Service, repair and inspect diesel and gas equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical troubleshooting
  • Perform routine maintenance and site-based inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of service work and equipment history
  • Comply with safety and environmental procedures while working on site
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure job completion

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Certificate III in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Experience with engines, mobile equipment or plant maintenance
  • Ability to work independently in field-based environments
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Strong awareness of safety standards and procedures
