- The Site Manager is responsible for construction management and quality control at EPC contractor yard (Site).
- This includes being the project representative and focal point on site, the Classification Society Site Contact and performing QC and HSSE management activities.
- To ensure satisfactory construction oversight, the Site Manager will be heading a site team.
- He will be responsible for allocating the necessary resources required for the team to execute its activities.
- Define the Site Team with roles, responsibilities and authorities, the internal and external functional interfaces. Mobilize the team with sufficient competence and capacity.
- Establish meetings and communication routines with the shipyard and Classification Society on site.
- Be Client's on-site focal point towards the EPC contractor.
- Conduct and supervise site team and monitor the team’s performance.
- Plan and perform site surveillance and inspection and record and follow-up.
- Plan and coordinate Sub-supplier inspection including reporting.
- Record and follow-up nonconformities.
- Communicate with Client, corporate office, EPC contractor, Topsides Engineering Subcontractor, Sub-suppliers, Support services and Project Team.
- Follow-up of Classification Society with respect to code issues.
- Master’s degree in process or mechanical engineering or similar education. Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience may replace master degree requirement.
- Minimum 10 years of experience within major construction projects at least 5 years oil and gas projects experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as manager.
- Good understanding and knowledge of the oil and gas construction processes.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
The Site Manager shall be familiar with the Management System structure and content, and have knowledge regarding requirements, responsibilities, processes (working methods) and other Management System information applicable to the position.
The Site Manager has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated above and has financial authority level in accordance with the financial authority matrix (FAM).
