Introduction / Job Summary

Responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of IT projects as an integrated program, ensuring alignment with business strategy, enterprise priorities, and stakeholder expectations. This role oversees multiple project streams, drives cross-functional coordination, manages program-level risks, budgets, and dependencies, and ensures value realization and sustainable adoption of Agile and DevOps practices.

The Program Manager serves as the strategic link between business and technology, providing governance, direction, and leadership to ensure successful delivery, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across the program lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

1.   Program Ownership & Strategic Planning

  • Own the end-to-end program lifecycle across multiple projects: initiation, planning, execution, delivery, transition, and benefits realization.
  • Define program vision, roadmap, success metrics, and value outcomes aligned with businessobjectives.
  • Establish and maintain an integrated, dependency-driven program plan across project streams.
  • Provide oversight on scope, schedule, resources, risks, issues, and budget at program level.
  • Govern change management and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

2.   Program Execution & Delivery Governance

  • Oversee execution of multiple projects to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Set up governance frameworks, delivery standards, and reporting structures across projects.
  • Manage interdependencies, cross-functional impacts, and resource allocation across the program.
  • Ensure quality gates, UAT readiness, deployment, and operational transition are achieved.
  • Drive benefits realization, value tracking, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Promote continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and scalable delivery practices.

3.    Stakeholder Management, Leadership & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of accountability for program outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
  • Engage senior leadership, business units, and global stakeholders (including HeadOffice in Amsterdam).
  • Translate technical initiatives into business value, impact, and strategic decisions.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on progress, risks, financials, and outcomes.
  • Foster strong collaboration across business, technology, and vendor teams.

4.   Agile, DevOps & Transformation Leadership

  • Lead enterprise Agile and DevOps adoption across projects and teams.
  • Establish scalable delivery frameworks, governance models, and best practices.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering, and Operations to enable effective delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and cultural transformation.

5.   Risk, Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Identify and mitigate program-level risks and dependencies.
  • Oversee vendor delivery, contracts, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and organizational standards.

Essential experience, knowledge, Skills and abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT programs or portfolios.
  • Strong track record delivering multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or DevOps environments at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Strong governance, financial, and risk management capabilities.
  • Experience managing cross-regional teams and vendors.
  • Ability to lead delivery without being a technical subject-matter expert.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Independent, resilient, and collaborative team leader.
  • High interpersonal skills with positive attitude and strong executive presence.
