Deploy and implement asset-based process safety, loss prevention and risk engineering objectives, providing critical inputs and facilitation to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Deliver appropriate advisory to asset(s) and relevant customers in advancing excellence in process safety and risk engineering, including across associated assets/facilities, brownfield projects and interfacing major capital projects.
Role involves coordination of Process Safety, Loss Prevention and Risk Management strategies, policies and procedures which in compliance with emerging regulations, changing requirements, extended scope over all LNG onshore and offshore assets including projects (both greenfield and brownfield).
Potentially required to cover multiple locations with different requirements and priorities e.g., onshore, offshore, projects, etc.
Works in accordance with Company policies, and procedures, and understanding of relevant industry and international standards.
Works independently on common and newly identified process safety and risk issues, make decisions using LNG values, and sound business sense, and provides direction and advice to customers.
What are you going to do
Execute the deployment and implementation of company process safety, loss prevention and risk management objectives and program in the assigned asset(s).
Provide process safety and risk engineering inputs and review for engineering documentation, project deliverables, interface documents to ensure they meet with the relevant standards.
Facilitate the hazard identification (HAZID) and risk assessment studies and prepare related reports.
Facilitate the implementation of relevant loss prevention engineering procedures in the assigned asset(s).
Conduct and support the execution of major safety studies such as quantitative risk assessment (QRA), and manage asset hazard and operability (HAZOP), safety and integrity level (SIL) baseline/revalidation etc., coordinating activities required for the completion of those studies.
Work with external consultant to produce quality document as required.
Collaborate with LNG Assets and other functional groups to ensure adequate involvement.
Coordinate Safety Case and Barrier Management efforts in the assigned asset(s) to facilitate the identification, implementation, and maintenance of effective safety barriers.
Perform safety and technical review of Management of Change requests (MOCs) and consult with assigned engineers and the functional groups to ensure that plant/field integrity and safety is maintained.
Monitor and analyze key process safety performance indicator, identifying trends and providing insights in process safety performance, collaborating with Operations and other relevant departments to initiate corrective actions.
Provide the required support for the administration, implementation, and sustainability of Manage Operations Risk (MOR) Process and Ensure Process Safety across LNG in their respective assets.
Represent Process Safety & Risk Engineering in the projects for safety studies including, HAZOP, HAZID, 3D model review, SIL review, QRA, etc. relevant to the assigned asset(s).
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably in chemical, mechanical or safety).
8 years’ experience in oil and gas sector in process safety, loss prevention, risk management and technical safety areas
Experience in process safety, and risk assessment/studies.
Require lead hazard identification reviews utilizing recognized techniques (e.g., HAZOP, What-If, etc.) with a good understanding of qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques.
Practical knowledge of safe systems of work with emergency preparedness knowledge / experience.
Exposure to EPC and commissioning and startup phases of the project are advantages.
