Develop, implement, and maintain HSSE policies, procedures, and standards for the project site.
Monitor and review EPCI site activities to identify HSSE issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Lead regular site inspections of work areas, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.
Manage and coordinate HSSE audits, track non-conformances, and ensure timely closure of findings.
Oversee the site’s emergency response plan, conduct drills, and lead actual emergency response when required.
Manage HSSE training programs, ensuring all personnel receive required certifications and refresher training.
Prepare and maintain HSSE reports, documentation, and performance metrics for project management.
Engage with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to support safety communication and compliance.
Conduct and oversee risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementation of lessons learned.
Ensure availability and proper maintenance of safety equipment and resources.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSSE performance and promote a strong safety culture.
Provide strategic HSSE guidance to project teams and align site HSSE goals with overall project objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop the site HSSE team to ensure high performance and accountability.
Manage the site HSSE budget and evaluate cost-effectiveness of HSSE initiatives.
Minimum Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive HSSE experience, preferably within EPCI or large construction project environments.
Proven experience managing HSSE operations and teams at a project worksite.
Certified Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO/WHSO) or equivalent recognized safety certification.
Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards; lead auditor certification is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and HSSE audits.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in time-critical situations.
Proficient in HSSE documentation, reporting, and use of safety management systems.
Physically able to perform worksite tasks such as climbing, entering confined spaces, and navigating yard or construction environments.
