What are you going to do

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Controller to join our client’s Finance team. This role will support the Head of Field Service in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving project financial performance across multiple regions.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in project controlling, commercial finance, or contract management, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Location: Macpherson, Singapore
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (Hybrid / WFH arrangement available)
  • Coverage: Singapore-based role supporting Malaysia, Australia, and Singapore operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Track actuals versus forecast and provide variance analysis

Project & Cost Controlling

  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with financial targets
  • Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare Field Service and tools costings for each job package
  • Review balance sheet accounts, including accruals
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial documentation for all job packages
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation

Contract & Operational Support

  • Assist in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with financial terms
  • Support commercial negotiations where required
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Prepare productivity and performance reports for the Field Service team
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within finance operations

Systems & Tools

  • Utilize financial systems and Excel for reporting and analysis
  • Learn and adopt ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage but not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in: Project controlling, Commercial / finance controlling & Contract management
  • Strong understanding of: Budgeting and forecasting, Monitoring actuals and KPIs, Balance sheet review, including accruals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial tools
  • ERP system exposure is advantageous (SAP preferred but not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
