Lead the pipeline engineering activities for Expansion Offshore Projects, ensuring all technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, stress results, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes, while also providing functional safety design support to Pipeline Engineering Manager to ensure all aspects are delivered to the highest standards.
Provide extensive knowledge and understanding on the requirements of ECPI, communicating and efficiently translating Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor.
Collaborate across disciplines (including Process, Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Jackets, Umbilicals, HSSE and Risk) and monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope.
What are you going to do
Ensure that the Contractor’s onshore and subsea pipeline design comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards.
Provide guidance to the contractor to promote compliance.
Plan and schedule the pipeline engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with LNG operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
Supervises and ensures that the Contractor’s functional safety of subsea, onshore facilities (offshore scope) engineering and pipeline designs comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards. Provide guidance to the contractor to promote compliance.
Participate in key design workshops and ensure that pipeline, functional safety design recommendations are correctly implemented, and actions closed before the end of EPCI (lessons learned, value engineering, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, engineering criticality assessment, etc.).
Supervises the engineering interface between the topsides, onshore facilities (offshore scope) and pipeline engineering and the following teams: operations, drilling, well management, jacket, topsides from pipelines perspective, the onshore project team.
Support the pipeline-related purchase orders with the Contractor and system Vendor in accordance with the roles and responsibilities given in the contract to ensure safe and seamless integration of the systems without any disturbance to the existing operating facilities.
Supports Pipeline Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractor’s progress on delivery of the required documents in the Pipeline Eng of Pipeline disciplines.
Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respect the discipline involved in delivery of the Pipeline Eng related to Topsides and Pipelines Engineering and ensures endorsement of Process Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
Ensure compliance with management of change procedures for changes in the contractors’ design or deviations from the company directives.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
8 years’ experience in relevant engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor / subcontractors / service / vendor personnel.
Previous knowledge of Greenfield engineering and execution required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
Good knowledge of subsea systems, onshore pipelines, subsea pipelines, spools and tie-in and riser engineering.
