Introduction

  • The Customer Service – Help Desk Personnel serves as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, providing front-line support and ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.
  • This role is critical in managing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate records, especially within high-demand environments such as oil and gas, supplier development, and public-facing service desks.

What are you going to do 

  • Delivering exceptional customer service and support at the service desk.
  • Handling customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Collaborating with internal departments (e.g., QatarEnergy or Tawteen teams) to resolve customer issues.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports, including:
    • Number of visiting, attended, and walk-out customers.
    • Average visit and waiting times.
    • Number of escalated queries (via phone, email, or walk-in) transferred to relevant teams

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Customer Service, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing or help desk role, preferably in the oil and gas or public sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for reporting and data tracking.
  • Familiarity with customer service software and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to manage and analyze service metrics and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of the local economy, oil and gas industry, and supplier development is advantageous
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
