We are recruiting a Cost Excellence Specialist to join one of our leading multinational clients and their expanding team. This position is based in Pune.

What are you going to do

Position: Cost Excellence Specialist.

Contract: On Contract role.

The Cost Excellence Specialist plays a critical role in managing and analyzing cost data, with a strong emphasis on interpreting and applying contract terms to oil and gas operations. A deep understanding of contract language and structures is essential, as you’ll be responsible for identifying compliance issues, reviewing invoices for discrepancies, and uncovering value leakage directly tied to contract execution. You’ll be tagged to tie these insights into strategic insights for reporting and suggested actions for resolution.

In a dynamic, agile environment, you’ll also support regional tactical initiatives such as closing unused purchase orders, monitoring and ensuring price book compliance, and quantifying the financial impact of proposed improvements.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in finance, supply chain, engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in contract compliance, cost control, or procurement and supply chain operations
Deep understanding of contract drafting and its application in oil and gas
Experience working with ERP systems
Experience working with remote stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
