About this role

As a Shutdown Supervisor based in PNG, you will be responsible for (Mechanical/ Electrical) planning, coordinating, and overseeing all shutdown activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Your role is critical in minimising downtime and maximising operational efficiency during plant shutdowns.

Is this you?

  • Proven experience as a Fixed Plant Shutdown Supervisor, preferably within the Gold mining sector
  • Strong knowledge of shutdown (Mechancial/ Electrical) planning, execution, and reporting processes
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to PNG
  • Ability to work on-site in PNG for extended periods
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechancial/ electrical/ engineering, project management, or related fields are highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours during shutdown periods
