We're seeking a Senior Surveyor to lead civil and subdivision projects in North Brisbane with a Tier 2 contractor. This role offers a mix of site and office-based work, access to modern equipment, and the chance to collaborate with skilled teams. We're seeking a Senior Surveyor to join a Tier 2 civil contractor delivering a strong pipeline of subdivision and infrastructure projects across North Brisbane. This role offers a mix of site and office-based work, using modern equipment and software to ensure accurate set-out and data capture across all phases of construction.
You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and site crews to deliver high-quality outcomes while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also includes mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage surveying activities across civil and subdivision projects
Perform accurate set-outs for earthworks, roads, drainage, and services
Process and manage survey data using modern software
Liaise with engineers and site teams to ensure alignment with design
Maintain survey records and as-built documentation
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Mentor junior surveyors and support team development

To be successful, you'll need:
Minimum 5 years' experience in civil surveying, ideally in subdivisions
Proficiency in 12d software (required); experience with TBC, Trimble, or similar tools (desired)
Strong understanding of earthworks, roads, drainage, and service set-out
Ability to manage survey data, reporting, and as-built documentation
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Experience mentoring junior surveyors or leading small teams
Must have Full Australian working rights
Valid Australian drivers licence
Mix of site and office-based work
Access to modern survey equipment and software
Strong pipeline of subdivision projects in North Brisbane
Supportive team with opportunities to mentor junior staff
