Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support sustaining projects across refinery tailings infrastructure in Western Australia. The role will provide mechanical engineering support across system upgrades, equipment installation and engineering coordination to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

About this role

  • Provide mechanical engineering support across tailings and water management infrastructure projects
  • Review and manage mechanical engineering design deliverables and technical documentation
  • Support upgrades to pumping systems, tailings distribution and dust suppression infrastructure
  • Coordinate technical interfaces across mechanical, civil, electrical and process disciplines
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and technical evaluations
  • Ensure engineering deliverables align with project specifications and industry standards
  • Support contractor coordination and provide technical clarification during project execution
  • Monitor engineering progress and assist in resolving technical issues during project delivery
  • Provide engineering input to support procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • Collaborate with project teams and contractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery

Is this you?

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) recognised under the Washington Accord
  • 7+ years engineering experience in heavy industry, mining, mineral processing or alumina operations
  • Experience in mechanical engineering design and design management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience working in the alumina, mineral processing or mining industry highly regarded
  • Full Australian working rights required
