Introduction

On behalf of our client, a Global Shipbuilder, Brunel is presently sourcing a Senior HR Business Partner. This will be a contract requirement with a possible view to longer term; perfect location for applicants residing South of the River.

About this role

You will be a trusted expert, providing top-tier HR/IR advice and collaborate across the entire HR Team to deliver seamless service, partnering also with the Learning & Organisational Development Team.

  • Primary point of contact for Managers and employees, building strong relationships and providing trusted advice on all HR matters
  • Proactively collaborate with managers to address people issues, offering bespoke solutions and case management support for grievances, disciplinary issues, and complex investigations
  • Work with managers and external partners to implement key HR strategies and cyclical activities, including performance reviews, succession planning, and workforce planning
  • Support the implementation of various HR programs, such as reward and recognition, employee development initiatives and enterprise agreements
  • Advise on the interpretation of relevant Acts, Regulations, and internal policies, ensuring compliance and fairness in all people-related decisions

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources OR a related field
  • Previous HR experience in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of Employment and Industrial Relations Law, along with experience developing and implementing HR-related policies and procedures
  • Strong coaching, interpersonal and organisational skills, highly experienced at conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex issues
  • Confident written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Experienced in implementing HR/IR strategies, programs and policies, as well as delivering presentations and training to both management and staff
