QA/QC Lead - Offshore Drilling & Wells 12-Month Renewable Contract | 28x28 Rotation | Mozambique

Join a world-class energy operator on a flagship offshore LNG development in East Africa. This 12-month renewable 28x28 rotational role offers the opportunity to lead QA/QC activities on deepwater drilling and completion operations within a technically demanding, high-value project environment.

About this role

As QA/QC Lead, you will be involved in both the preparation and operational phases, supervising all major services QA/QC systems and ensuring strict compliance with corporate and industry standards.

You will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with Drilling & Completion leadership.

  • Supervise QA/QC activities across warehouse and yard operations

  • Ensure full compliance with corporate QA/QC standards

  • Manage equipment manufacturing inspections, including TPI qualification, PO review, and reporting

  • Analyze and follow up on NCRs raised during manufacturing

  • Develop and maintain an audit and qualification system for local manufacturers

  • Monitor and distribute supplier performance KPIs

  • Lead service quality meetings with local suppliers

  • Recommend and track corrective actions

  • Investigate downtime or incidents linked to equipment quality concerns

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Technical qualification or post-secondary education

  • Minimum 10 years' offshore drilling & completion experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of drilling and completion tools/equipment

  • Experience with major service contractors advantageous

  • In-depth understanding of QA/QC systems within offshore operations

  • Familiarity with API Q1 & API Q2 (or equivalent quality management standards)

  • Valid BOSIET certification (mandatory)

  • Fluent English

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in multicultural environments
