About this role

  • Set the strategic direction for enterprise architecture and ensure it aligns with business and technology priorities.
  • Lead and facilitate architecture forums, driving consistent standards across cloud platforms, infrastructure and data domains.
  • Provide strategic guidance on IT/OT alignment, security considerations and architectural assurance.
  • Drive cost-effective architectural choices that balance financial impacts with long-term sustainability.
  • Support digital uplift initiatives including cloud adoption, data modernisation, automation and IoT technology.
  • Coach and guide domain architects, lifting maturity and embedding strong architectural practice across the organisation.
  • Inform investment planning and help shape the prioritisation of major transformation initiatives.
  • Engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making with well-formed recommendations and insights.

Is this you?

  • Extensive background in Enterprise Architecture within complex, asset-heavy or regulated environments.
  • Strong capability across modern cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure), contemporary data platforms and IT/OT integration.
  • Demonstrated experience steering architecture governance and aligning technology portfolios to business strategy.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance cost optimisation, reuse and long-term architectural health.
  • Exceptional communicator capable of influencing senior executives and shaping strategic direction.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS Architecture, Cyber Security) highly regarded.
  • Experience in sectors such as utilities, energy, infrastructure or financial services is advantageous.
