Brunel International is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a workshop environment, maintaining and repairing a broad range of equipment including marine vessels, hydraulic systems, cranes, forklifts, power packs, and generators. If you are mechanically minded, have a "can do" attitude, and pay keen attention to detail, we want to hear from you.
As a Mechanical Fitter at Brunel International, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical diagrams and specifications to identify faults and guide repair or fabrication work. Your duties will include servicing and maintaining vessels, hydraulic systems, cranes, forklifts, power packs, generators, and related equipment.
You will dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering and operational requirements, ensuring all parts are assembled, fitted, and aligned to required specifications and tolerances. Operating various machines and equipment to machine, fabricate, modify, or adjust components with precision will be a key aspect of your role.
Additionally, you will test, calibrate, and adjust machines and equipment to guarantee correct function, safe operation, and optimal performance. Maintaining accurate service logs, repair reports, and maintenance documentation-including status updates on equipment performance and faults-is essential.
All maintenance, repair, and fabrication activities must comply with workplace health and safety (WHS) standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a team to deliver exceptional mechanical fitting services.
Requirements
Brunel International offers a challenging and rewarding role where you will be integral to maintaining and enhancing the performance of critical mechanical equipment. We provide competitive remuneration, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment committed to safety and quality.
