Introduction

Our client is a leading onshore energy operator delivering complex drilling and well intervention programs in Queensland. They are seeking an experienced HSSE Advisor - Wells to provide practical, field-based HSSE support and leadership across onshore operations.

About this role

  • Provide HSSE advice, support, and constructive challenge to onshore wells teams and contractors
  • Champion a strong HSSE culture with visible leadership, discipline, and accountability in the field
  • Support HSSE assurance and governance activities to enable continuous safe operations
  • Enable safe execution of drilling, well intervention, and construction activities with a strong focus on contractor management
  • Implement and support HSSE plans, emergency response systems, incident management, and field-based HSSE activities
  • Work collaboratively with internal subject matter experts to ensure compliance with HSSE and control framework requirements
  • Support compliance with Queensland State legislation and regulatory requirements, including petroleum and workplace health and safety obligations

Is this you?

  • Tertiary or professional qualification in a HSSE-related discipline
  • Strong field-based HSSE experience within drilling, wells, or construction environments
  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with frontline workforce, contractors, and leadership teams
  • Knowledge of process safety risk management (e.g. well integrity, safety-critical equipment, barrier ownership) preferred
  • Experience working within the Australian regulatory environment
  • Exposure to onshore wells or unconventional operations highly regarded
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications
