Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant. The purpose of the position is to support the Australia Reporting Group, through the provision of accurate and timely accounting and advisory services including revenue recognition, external and internal reporting. This will be a 12 month contract located in the Perth CBD.

About this role

  • Assist the monthly group reporting process including reviewing and consolidating variance analysis
  • Review of quality variance analysis identifying key business drivers for the results in key reports such as Flash and WFOR
  • Support the SMOG reporting process through facilitation of calculation of realised price by asset and product
  • Provide input into the Left Hand Notes (LHN) process, which supports the Quarterly, Half-year and Annual Reports
  • Liaising with Business Unit Financial Accountants (BUFA), Finance Business Partners and Marketing, Trading & Shipping (MT&S) Teams to ensure sound understanding of financial performance and consistency of messaging
  • Provide support to and assist in the review of work completed by MT&S and BUFA teams
  • Support and facilitate Trial Balance
  • Assist with processing Group Reporting entries (CJE) in SAP
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial business process improvements
  • Ensure processes are compliant with all statutory requirements including SOX, Audit compliance and Company Code of Conduct

Is this you?

  • Professional qualification (CA/CPA) or equivalent
  • Sound experience as a professional in Finance/Accounting
  • Experience in supporting a large, complex organisation through the provision of accurate and timely accounting and advisory services including revenue recognition, external and internal reporting, such as WFOR, ASX Quarterly, Half-year and Annual Report, Left hand note, SMOG and TB review
