Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Electricial Planner - Assets on a 6-month contract to join a high-performing asset management team supporting a major Pilbara iron ore operation. Based in Perth with fortnightly site travel, this role focuses on developing effective electrical maintenance plans that underpin safe, reliable and efficient operations.

About this role

As the Planner Assets - Electrical, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining electrical maintenance plans and schedules to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations at a major Pilbara iron ore operation. You will work closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams, ensuring that all electrical assets are managed effectively and maintenance work is prioritised according to operational requirements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, drive best practice and the successful delivery of key responsibilities, including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise electrical maintenance plans and schedules for operational assets
  • Scope work orders, raise notifications, and ensure all required materials, labour, and resources are identified
  • Review asset performance data and prioritise maintenance work to support reliability and operational needs
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure effective work execution
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of maintenance shutdowns and critical works
  • Contribute to safe work practices, risk assessments, and adherence to organisational safety policies
  • Maintain accurate records in SAP or other CMMS to support reporting, planning, and asset lifecycle management

Is this you?

  • Electrical qualification with experience in electrical planning within mining, heavy industry, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of electrical maintenance practices, asset management, and reliability-centred planning
  • Proficient in SAP or similar CMMS platforms
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and liaise effectively with operational stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to prioritise work, analyse data, and support operational performance objectives
  • Full Australian working rights are essential
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
