Introduction

We're partnering with a global leader in energy technology to hire a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to support the deployment of cutting-edge Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS).

About this role

This is a highly technical, client-facing role where you'll own end-to-end solution delivery-working across architecture, deployment, and optimisation of enterprise-scale platforms in cloud environments.

You'll play a key role in delivering solutions that directly impact the future of energy, grid stability, and renewable integration.

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of DERMS solutions into customer environments
  • Own technical deliverables across the full project lifecycle
  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions
  • Provide input into solution architecture, design, and system integration
  • Drive DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code
  • Ensure go-live readiness, post-deployment support, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and global delivery teams
  • Identify risks, define mitigation strategies, and contribute to project success
  • Contribute to solution design documentation, workflows, and acceptance criteria

About You

You're a senior engineer who thrives in complex, enterprise environments and enjoys blending hands-on technical work with client engagement.

Key Experience:

  • 7+ years in enterprise software, DevOps, or cloud engineering
  • Strong experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
  • Hands-on with:
    • Docker & Kubernetes
    • Terraform / Ansible / Infrastructure as Code
    • Linux (RHEL) & scripting (Bash/Python)
    • Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, SonarQube, Nexus
  • Strong understanding of security best practices & DevSecOps
  • Experience deploying and managing microservices architectures

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in the utilities or energy sector
  • Exposure to DERMS or grid/energy systems
  • Python development experience
