About this role
Our client is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Engineer - E&I to join their dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Role Responsibilities
- Participates in site surveys, inspections and monitoring of E&I installation activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings and safety regulations.
- Assist in the testing and commissioning of electrical equipment (Transformers, switchgears, motors, etc.) and instrumentation systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, Field Instruments)
- Support the inspection of materials and equipment upon delivery to ensure conformity with purchase orders and quality standards.
- Liaise with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, civil) to resolve interface issues and ensure integrated project delivery.
- Attend project meetings, site walks and technical review sessions as required.
- Assist in preparing daily/weekly progress reports and technical documentation.
- Ensure all E&I activities comply with project HSE plans and procedures.
- Participate in risk assessments, tool talk and safety inspections.
Is this you?
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B. Tech) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.
- 3+ years to 7+ years of experience in E&I maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting in industrial plants.
- Site Experience: Hands-on experience with field instruments (transmitters, valves, sensors) and electrical systems (motors, panels) in a construction or operating plant environment.
