Introduction

On behalf of Woodside, we are recruiting for a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join their Perth-based team on a 12 month contract. This is a high-impact operations support role with regular site travel, where you'll work in a multidisciplinary environment to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions across a broad range of rotating equipment, helping reduce facility risks and support safe, reliable production

About this role

  • Lead complex plant modifications to reduce safety, environmental, regulatory, and financial risks to ALARP.
  • Provide technical input into equipment breakdown and troubleshooting, performance monitoring, maintenance strategy and work planning, HAZOP / LOPA workshops, ART forums, and incident investigations
  • Manage external service providers for multidiscipline projects including scope definition, budget approval, assurance reviews, and schedule tracking.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver practical engineering solutions and support planning engineering via maintenance strategies, procedure updates, and queries.

Is this you?

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with extensive experiene in a technical Rotating Equipment Engineer capacity
  • Experience on industrial rotating machinery including gas turbines (heavy duty and aeroderivative), compressors (centrifugal, axial and reciprocating) and pump
  • Experience in Oil & Gas operations
  • Process Safety knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to coach junior engineers
  • Strong understanding of management of change, risk identification & assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
