Introduction

On behalf of our Client, a Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Projects - Cost Controller. You will be responsible for the adoption and implementation of the cost management system and processes to support the Senior and Lead Cost Controllers in the provision of budget, invoice and cost forecasting services. This will be a casual contract located in the Perth CBD.

About this role

  • Support implementation and maintenance of cost management systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
  • Prepare and manage project cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Review invoices, establish accruals, and ensure accurate cost allocation across projects
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and support mitigation of cost overruns
  • Assist with contract, procurement, and payment processes, including reconciliation of contractor claims
  • Apply project controls methodologies, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Maintain data integrity across cost systems including SAP and support change management processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and support junior team members

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR Commerce / Finance
  • Project Management or internationally recognised Project Controls Certification
  • Previous experience in Project Controls within the Resources sector, preferably with international exposure
  • Experience reporting cost components of small to mid-scale capital projects
  • Understanding of Project Control principles, processes and techniques
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with project stakeholders
  • Experience with Omega PIMS cost system will be desirable
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite - Word and Excel
