About this role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Scheduler to join a growing utilities and infrastructure delivery team supporting major engineering works within a power generation environment.

This position will be site-based at Millmerran Power Station, working Monday to Friday within a collaborative project delivery team focused on safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.

Accommodation, meals and fuel allowance can be provided for candidates required to travel.

As a Project Scheduler you will play a key role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project performance to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to drive strong project controls across all phases of delivery.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Coordinate planning activities with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance using KPIs, earned value management, and reporting tools
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and schedule performance against project targets
  • Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and performance updates
  • Perform resource loading, manpower forecasting, and productivity analysis
  • Analyse critical path activities and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop short-term engineering and construction look-ahead schedules (2-4 weeks)
  • Monitor subcontractor progress and schedule compliance
  • Support safe delivery aligned with quality, environmental, and legislative requirements

Is this you?

  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls
  • Background in engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or energy projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software
  • Strong MS Office capability (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management and performance reporting
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Previous experience working on power station or energy projects highly desirable
  • Exposure to cost control, cost engineering, or forecasting functions
  • Experience using risk management tools (ARM, PRA, Acumen Risk, @RISK)
  • Power BI dashboard development or reporting experience higly desirable
