Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High Profile Leading Oil & Gas Group, Brunel is presently sourcing a Procurement Specialist to Support the Asset Supply Chain Team by delivering safe, reliable, and commercially competitive sourcing solutions that enable optimised supply, logistics and inventory outcomes Based in the Brisbane, CBD this will a contract role up to December 2026.

About this role

You will work closely with the SC Demand Supply Planners, Logistics, Operations and Category Management to secure materials, services and supplier performance that directly impact planning excellence, cost delivery and supply chain resilience.

  • Convert planning demand and forecast changes into timely procurement actions
  • Ensure suppliers meet delivery commitments and proactively address risks or constraints
  • Interpret technical specifications, drawings and QA/QC requirements to ensure accurate sourcing
  • Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to resolve technical or documentation issues
  • Lead competitive sourcing events, negotiations, and award decisions that support total value outcomes
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through consolidation, supplier optimisation and commercial levers
  • Translate category strategies into executable procurement plans
  • Maintain accurate material, contract, and supplier data using SAP Ariba and associated procurement systems
  • Manage day-to-day supplier communication, expediting and problem resolution
  • Conduct procurement activity in line with HSSE standards and governance requirements
  • Document technical clarifications, deviations, and approvals in accordance with assurance controls
  • Contribute to simplification, automation and data-driven improvement of procurement processes
  • Support sustainability and lower carbon sourcing opportunities where relevant

Is this you?

  • Extensive experience in Procurement, Supply Chain OR Materials Management (Energy, Manufacturing, Logistics, Chemicals is preferred), SAP Ariba
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, datasheets and quality documentation
  • Strong knowledge of vendor capability supporting the LNG industry in Queensland
  • Effective stakeholder management across Planning, Operations, Maintenance and Logistics, Engineering and Category Management
  • Flexible, solution-oriented approach to resolving supply, technical or commercial challenges
